Peracetic acid is a fast-acting, broad-spectrum oxidizing disinfectant that decomposes to harmless acetic acid and oxygen with no toxic residuals. Supplied as a 15% equilibrium solution, it is widely used in food processing, municipal wastewater disinfection, and membrane bioreactor (MBR) applications.
