THPS is a water-soluble, biodegradable non-oxidizing biocide highly effective against sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB), iron bacteria, and Pseudomonas in oilfield injection water and cooling systems. It hydrolyzes to non-toxic tris(hydroxymethyl)phosphine oxide, making it environmentally preferred in regulated industries.
